During December 2018, Laura visited over 20 schools across the Middle East, including Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, where she introduced the 2019 Cambridge Dream Summer School and shared advice on what students need to do ‘on the road to a top university’ in addition to achieving high grades – from research into courses and institutions, extra-curricular activities, volunteering and wider reading to personal statement writing and interview practice. Laura was also delighted to catch up with students who attended the programme in Cambridge this summer.

During her free time, Laura explored the local culture, ancient and modern, travelled along the 25 km-long King Fahd causeway linking the Kingdom of Bahrain with the Eastern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and fed the famous royal camels at the Janabiya Camel Farm in Bahrain.
