During this year’s summer school, students will again enjoy a host of exciting opportunities to learn both inside and outside the classroom. Learning beyond the classroom extends the whole learning experience and enhances the context and relevance of lessons.  Among the many new activities introduced for this summer are visits to the University of Cambridge’s Botanic Garden (awarded the Quality Badge of the Council for learning outside the Classroom), where learners will study amazing plant adaptations, see Newton’s famous apple tree and solve a mystery using plants forensically, and a visit to a world-leading bio-medical campus to learn from the researchers about the ground-breaking genetic discoveries which are transforming the future of medicine.
