During October and November 2014, Laura visited 13 schools throughout China where she presented to teachers, parents and students about UK university preparation and introduced the Cambridge Dream Summer School. Laura’s journey started in Wuhan and ended in Shanghai, stopping in 5 different provinces during her 4 week-trip. When not working, Laura was privileged to enjoy many fascinating cultural and gastronomic delights. Some of the highlights included seeing hundreds of magnificently preserved miniature terracotta warriors and horses from the Han dynasty in Northern Jiangsu; enjoying spicy Szechuan food with a group of international Rotarians in Chengdu; travelling by train across China at 400 km per hour; receiving gifts of meticulous paper cut pictures (Jianzhi) produced by students in a school in Shenzhen; and of course making new friends and renewing old acquaintances.
